PostModern

PostModern is a research project turned into a fictitious exhibition. It follows through the history of prominent design movements throughout the 20th century, leading up to the featured designer: Paula Scher.

Each section has a quote from a designer modeled after the trend being featured. I wanted to emulate the thought processes these creators were utilizing for the time, while also creating something unique.

The entirety of the this catalogue is designed with Scher in mind. I wanted to experiment in type variation and pushing, sometimes breaking, the grid. I wanted her spreads to be the most colorful and outlandish. While I did not want to outright copy her style, I thought mimicking it to a degree reflected her Swatch poster controversy.
