I updated the La Brea Tar Pits & Museum logo to be more reflective of the things they have to offer for people to learn about there.
Coming up with ideas
My main sources of inspiration were the different fauna found within the tar pits, such as sabertooth cats, mammoths, sloths, and other creatures. I also took the city La Brea is located in, Los Angeles, into consideration.
The Final Logo
The final logo was based on a statue located at the front of the museum, featuring a Colombian Mammoth. I nestled the text right under its chin.
